About the Author Konami Kanata est une mangaka japonaise née à Nagano. Les œuvres de Kanata racontent la vie de chats d’appartement. Ses deux séries les plus connues sont : Fuku Fuku Funya~n et Chi’s Sweet Home. Kanata publie son premier manga, Buchi Neko Jam Jam, en 1982 dans le magazine « Nakayoshi » extra edition (édité par Kodansha). Il s’agit déjà d’une histoire de chat. Elle commence à travailler sur les aventures de Fuku-Fuku, un gros chat paresseux, en 1986. La série, Fuku Fuku Funya~n, rencontre un bon succès. Elle est publiée de 1988 à 1994 dans le magazine Me (Kodansha) puis dans le magazine BE_LOVE (Kodansha) de 1994 jusqu’à la fin de la série en 2004. Kanata travaille ensuite sur la série Chi’s Sweet Home qui raconte les aventures de Chi, petite chatte qui a perdu sa mère et qui est adoptée par une famille.
